The conference Iaponica Brunensia 2023: “Japan: Confluences, Contrasts, and Contradictions” is a biannual international Japanese studies conference. It will be held by the Department of Japanese studies at the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk Universitywill in Brno, Czech Republic on 15-16 September 2023 and it is going to be the 5th edition of this event. It is open to all scholars in the field of Japanese studies as well as related disciplines including anthropology, arts, cultural geography, history, international relations, linguistics, literature, philosophy, political science, religious studies, sociology, and other fields in humanities and social sciences. The aim of the grant application is to secure financial support for the organization of the conference.
