Intangible cultural heritage is nowadays not only a technical name for the content of one of the significant agendas of UNESCO's activities, but also a theoretical concept with which many disciplines, not only in the humanities, are working today. The objectives of the project deliberately omit the description of the elements of intangible cultural heritage. The research will be primarily directed towards a deeper understanding and interpretation of the social context of the existence of intangible cultural heritage in contemporary society, and will therefore focus on sub-research axes in the form of the study of gamification, the transformation of cultural elements as a result of institutional protection and support, and their existence in non-standard or specific situations (pandemics, Czech diasporas abroad).
