The aim of the first part of the project is to enable the publication of outputs from a new seminar of the German department: Students’ Magazine written in German. In the classes, students will get familiar with the basic methods of journalistic writing, next, they will determine the contents of the term’s (Autumn 2009) issue which they finally (by means of team work and peer revision) give shape to. It will be published by the beginning of December 2009 on the website of the Department and as a printed booklet.
The second part of the project intents to present the results of the Creative Writing course of the German department held in Autumn 2009. The most successful text will be published in the Students’ Magazine.

Results

The aim of the project was to support the students’ creative activities in both journalistic and artistic creative writing. These aims have been met. It was proved that creative activity is increased by the knowledge of the result being published. Some of the texts included in the Students’ Magazine are at an impressive level. The concrete results of the project are of course the Magazine and the Exhibition. Within the “social life” of the department, they could hardly be overlooked. Therefore, they were a useful contribution to the interaction between teachers and students at the department. The topics of the Magazine dealt mostly with topics revolving around the studies. Thus, the most important result of the project seems to be the increase in mutual awareness of the capacities of each other to think or write in a creative manner.
