Description | The author of the present article demonstrates the inspiring traditions of Czech Slavonic studies he sees in the plurality of approaches and especially in the so-called Czech School of Comparative Studies presented by Slavomír Wollman in two of his monographs – which – apart from some other attitudes – focuses on the comparative approach, genre studies (genology), literary currents and has always been flexibile and integrative in the Niels field of methodology. In the conclusion the author manifests both extrinsic and intrinsic arguments for the compactness of Slavonic studies as a scholarly discipline. |
