| Description | The book maps 111 years of development of letters written by hand, i.e. of a genre that has probably reached the end of its existence at present. Two CDs contain corpus versions and full-text versions of 2,000 private letters written by hand between 1902 and 2012. The book follows corpus processing of correspondence from the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries incorporated in 2006 into the Czech National Corpus (the section KSK-dopisy). All texts are thoroughly tagged from sociolinguistic and dialectal viewpoints, photocopies of the original texts are included as well. As a unique source of material, this book is aimed especially at linguists, providing interesting information also to other scholars as well as to general public. |
