Description The Veveří Castle was built by margrave Vladislav Henry before 1222 and was a centre of the huntings area. In the core of the castle there were two early gothic palaces; margrave John Henry (after 1249) established a palace and the chapel in the northern outer ward. It may have been him, who started to built the western outer bailey, but his construction in the middle of the 15th century cannot be excluded as well.
