Description | Distributed M-Index is an indexing and searching structure for distributed and parallel similarity searching. It is based on metric space indexing, a universal and versatile model of similarity that can be applied in various areas of non-text information retrieval. Distributed M-Index opens the possiblity of efficient similarity data management scalable to billions of data objects. This indexing structure forms the core of several large-scale real-world demo applications and it has a big potential in commercial applications in content-based multimedia retrieval, processing of biometrical or large-scale scientific data. |
