Description This paper presents an analysis of new collaborative and interactive tools and activities within an ICT-enhanced university language learning setting with the aim to describe their development, use and effectiveness. Masaryk University Language Centre (CJV MU) has initiated complex improvements and innovations of language education in the Czech Republic. Recent CJV MU projects have focused on design, development, piloting, evaluation and implementation of novel courses, testing and cutting edge ICT tools; more concretely on the areas of CEFR, flexible materials format, authentic situations, creative processes, community-of-practice communication and individualised ICT-enhanced language learning. The effort resulted in over one hundred innovated ICT-enhanced soft skills and language courses, new online adapt test software and a Virtual Study Space (VSS). The outcomes indicate that ICT-enhanced approach can play a fundamental role in improving language learning.
