Description Land use in the city is considerably correlative of basic land characteristics that are its uniqueness and its rent. Theory pays attention especially to relation between demanded quantities, rent of land and distance from the centre (CBD). Basic access to land use is Alonso neoclassical model. It works on the assumption of Thünen model of isolated economy. Describe drawbacks of Alonso model are solved by sector and polycentric models. On the case of concrete municipalities is possible to verify validity of these models. The city of Vamberk fills a lot of Alonso model assumptions. The structure of the city of Milevsko corresponds with sector model parameters.
