Description The aim of this article – which is based on a broadly defined grounded theory – is to describe a range of evaluative situations based on a teacher’s initiative in art lessons given at the lower secondary level of schools. The article presents a range of evaluative situations in art lessons followed by four general approaches by which teachers cope with assessment.
