Description The history of positive psychology (PP) in the Czech Republic is relatively short. Plentiful roots can be found in related fields, especially Health psychology, Personality psychology, Developmental psychology or Psychology of religion. Nowadays, the number of original publications on PP in the Czech Republic is increasing. In 2008, the Czech Positive Psychology Centre of (CPPC) was founded in Brno. Since 2008, the Department of Psychology at the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University in Brno, offers an optional pre-graduate course on Positive Psychology, which has quickly become one of the most popular courses. We believe that teaching Positive psychology has been a valuable asset in the study plans of university education in psychology, which can significantly contribute to the personal growth and well-being of future psychologists.
