Description This text puts forwards the development of special education for deviant&disabled children and the formation of practices aimed at controlling Roma population as a resonant effect of the interwar period in the Czech lands. The eugenic ideas are identified as the theoretical grounds juxtaposing procedures and criteria of special education and intervening with Roma children into the consistent framework for legalising segregate practices. This process is viewed as a critical junction in shaping the path dependence of segregating against Roma and disabled children in the next stages
