Description It is generally accepted that the Lisbon strategy was not successful with respect to objectives achieving. The new strategy Europe 2020 will be more obligatory for the member states. The chapter deals with the fact that the member countries will have to invest into EU priorities substantial part of resources obtained in the framework of the Cohesion policy. It will means that priorities in the form of thematic objectives will be defined and each country will have to allocate into them the certain amount obtained from European social fund and European regional development fund. This contribution analyses possibilities of the European Union that can be used for meeting the objectives.
