Description The aim of the paper is to describe the history and the evolution of a rather particular lexicographic marc in the Spanish Academic lexicography – Caló. According to our hypothesis, it was an extremely subjective and unsystematic marc the evolution of which could change from one case to another and that was not strictly defined, as one would expect from a normative dictionary in the second half of the 20th century. Aided by the textual corpora, the hypothesis proves right.
