| Description | The present study deals – at the background of the evolution of the 19th-century Russian aesthetic thought, especially the traditions of Apollon Grigoryev and the reflections of modern Russian and Czech contemporary literary criticism – the drafts of Alexander Potebnya concerning Leo Tolstoy and Fyodor Dostoevsky. The commentaries first published as late as 1917 contain not only the essence of Potebnya‘s aesthetic, but also political doctrine. |
