| Description | The purpose of this chapter is to confront three corpora (general dictionaries, dictionaries of slang and the corpora of rap songs) to study French substandard items, noted mainly as "argot". The main goal is to explore these corpora to see if their data overlap, and to test the hypothesis of a "neological circuit" of substandard lexicon, from its appearance to its lexicographical description, through its diffusion and its mediatization. |
