Description | Émile Ollivier is one of numerous Haitian authors established in Canada and belonging henceforth to Quebec literature. His works illustrate a complex and complicated identity situation related to immigration and cultural integration (or its absence). The narratological analysis of the novel Passages attempts to identify the main modalities of individual and collective indentity representations underspinnig Ollivier's worldview which may be considered as an example of the postmodern rhizomatic identity and sensibility. |
