| Description | Interlingual homonyms and paronyms are thought to be the most problematic words for translators, they are often named "translator's false friends". Interlingual homonymy and paronymy in the Slavic languages is often a source of negative language interference and it can also have negative effects in foreign language acquisition and translation. There is also an example of ideal entry in future Czech-Slovene dictionary of interlingual homonyms and paronyms. |
