| Description | The handbook is primarily aimed at the students of French philology and related Romance studies. The publication should serve as a supplement to the exposition of French history from the primeval times to the present days. Thus, the handbook is not a compendium or a synthetic work of the history of France, but rather a selection of auxiliary materials which should complement the facts presented in the subjects French History and Culture I and II from the first stage of the study of French philology. In the selection of the texts, the emphasis was laid on their significance from cultural and linguistic perspectives. |
