Description The paper discusses the contemporary Czech performance of the play Oidipus the King, which was directed by Lucie Bělohradská in Pod Palmovkou Theatre in Prague. Simultaneously it summarizes the Czech attitude to ancient times and the theatre of ancient Greece.
