Description | In pedagogical-psychological literature written by native and foreign professional provenance, we encounter a variety of new findings on specific phenomena, difficulties, obstacles, and challenges faced by gifted children and students in family and school environment. The aim of our study is the orientation within anthologies of knowledge accompanied by endeavours to their functional organisation, which also reflects the main trends in the educational field. We employ the findings of our current studies that relate to four thematic areas: the positive characteristics of gifted children, to their asynchronous development, the underachievement and academic motivation. The issue is a part of the investigation within the Research project carried out at the Faculty of Education, Masaryk University in Brno, MSM0021622443 Special Needs of Pupils in the Context of the Framework Educational Programme for Basic Education. |
