| Description | The chapter is dedicated to the problems of parents with children with hearing impairment during their social examination after important changes in legislation, especially in receiving social benefits. The first part of the text is dedicated to the social reform, which has come into force on the 1st of January 2012, and its impact on people with disabilities. The charter presents results of the research, which aimed to map the current state of social system, professional abilities of civil servants administering social benefits and contributions for people with hearing impairment or their legal representatives. We evaluated civil servants' knowledge of hearing impairment and their competency in the area of social investigation. The following aim of the research was to analyze the position of parents during the social investigation. The research was realized at the employment offices in the South Moravian region. |
