Description | The chapter deals with communication disorders of pupils with disabilities who live in residential settings. The target group of individuals in institutions for persons with disabilities, we can talk about the diagnosis of symptomatic speech disorders, which are often neglected in special education speech therapy theory and practice. This chapter therefore focuses on providing speech therapy in residential settings and presents data obtained from the research. We used the technique of non-standardized questionnaire of own design. The chapter focuses on the analysis of social communication applications and stimulation of communicative intention of pupils with intellectual disabilities in residential care settings. |
