Description The study deals with the analysis of the pledge charters of Sigismund of Luxemburg for the estates of the Chotěšov Monastery. It focuses on the changes in the possession of the pledged property and the ability of the priors to regain their goods. It follows the qualitative changes in the pledge policy of the king Sigismund against the former practice under the king Wenceslas. It also contains the edition of the unknown charter of King Sigismund confirming the agreement of Chotěšov prior about the former Sigismund’s pledge.
