| Description | The study deals with today lost picture, depicted the nocturnal entombment of Christ, which the German Early Baroque painter Johann König painted in 1637 on black marble. The article also pays attention to the contemporary journalistic reactions in connection with intention of its then owner, the Prague merchant Karl Calvi to sell it by means of lottery, as well as investigation it’s subsequently fate. |
