Description | The presentation reports on the results of a needs analysis survey carried out among former graduates of the Faculty of Law with the aim of determining relevant current and future needs of law students and graduates concerning their English language instruction. Apart from reporting the results of the survey, which will affect the redesign of the syllabus for course “English for Students of Law”, it is argued that there is a need for what can be termed “transferred needs analysis” whereby the target needs of students in the ESP classroom are specified not by the actual students but by former graduates whose “in-service” perspective is based on their actual working experience. |
