| Description | The chapter deals with the analysis of providing support of communication skills to seniors who living in social services. Homes for seniors are legally enshrined in the Act on Social Services, No. 108/2006 Coll. as amended and fall under the social welfare services. The chapter makes partial results of a quantitative survey which means questionnaires for leaders of the facility and speech therapists focused on the status of implementation of speech therapy in homes for seniors in the Czech Republic. Partial results of the research indicate the attitudes of leaders to special educational facilities to support the communication skills of seniors, provide information about forms of speech therapy and its inclusion in the individual plan of users. The subject of the research is the analysis of speech therapy in homes for seniors. |
