Description The Aim of the chapter is to present theoretical and methodological starting points for exploration of aspects that impact individual student's reading of students in 4th grade at primary school. It defines the issues in the area of reading and relates terms of the main issue. We summarize the surveys dealing with a similar theme and a desing of the research instrument (questionnaire), which could assess the aspects affecting on the active relationship with the child reader to a book.
