| Description | Two last names for one woman in Czech is the topic of this study. We can observe this way of naming as modern trend in present days. Some women, for example famous people, businesswomen, female scientists or common women decide to add their birth name to their husband’s name. However, there is a problem, because people are not used for this kind of naming and they do not know how to use it in everyday communication. Czech law is not very helpful. There is a strict way how to connect two last names. It will be necessary to reconsider this problem from linguistic and legislative point of view but take account of present modern trends as well. Contemporary state of two female last names usage can be confusing and its future is very uncertain without it. |
