Description | Over the past hundred years there were series of rapid changes in research interests and orientations in various humanities and social science fields and disciplines. These changes began to be labeled back to R. Rorty’s model as "turns" – linguistic, anthropological, narrative or visual. These turns resulted – using the expression of Th. Kuhn, the author of the book The Structure of Scientific Revolutions (1964) – the paradigm shift in scientific disciplines, or even the emergence of new scientific disciplines. The aim of the paper is to present a communication and pragmatic turn in the humanities and social science disciplines and the specific concept of culture and society based on it. This concept is not only supporting the basis for communication and media studies, but also the inspiration for the philosophy of media. |
