Description FaceMatch is a software technology for detecting and retrieving similar human faces on photographs. A collection of photographs is firstly preprocessed to automatically detect human faces which are stored into a database. Then a user can initiate the retrieval process to locate the database faces which are the most similar to a query face. The main advantages of the proposed technology are abilities to achieve (1) high retrieval efficiency by organizing the database faces within an index structure and (2) high detection and retrieval quality by integrating any number of existing face detection and matching functions. The more functions are provided, the more quality of detection and retrieval is assumed. The current version of the FaceMatch technology is demonstrated via a web application that effectively integrates three face detection and matching functions.
