| Description | The objective of the present paper is a corpus-based analysis of Czech derivational morphology. Our goal is: 1) To specify the derivational rules quoted in Czech Grammar-Books. 2) To extend the list of irregularities. 3) To disprove some inaccurate claims concerning the word-formation rules (stem/root derivation rules) in Czech. The result of the paper can be used in a theoretical description of Czech grammar (derivational morphology) and also in solving practical problems such as corpus-based analysis without using morphological annotation. |
