| Description | The paper focuses on the assessment of the problems and the usual methods of medieval numismatics (analysis of coin ho ards, analysis of coin dies, style criticism and monetary geography). Furthermore, shor t attention is dedicated to the position within the medieval numismatics, especially in relation to other auxiliary historical sciences. The relationship between numisma tics and economic history as a possible starting point for further interdisciplinary study is examined in the final part of the paper. |
