| Description | The aim of this article is to show the influence of illustrated editions of Ovid's Metamorphoses on the Renaissance art in Bohemia and Moravia. On the selected examples I try to show that a precise comparison with illustrated editions can help to answer also other questions that only these of formal influence. It can be useful with dating some of the artworks. And considering the changes against the printed pattern can detect specific intentions of the commissioners. |
