Description In this paper we present the results of research of hope in Czech children aged 8-12 years (N = 350). Data were collected through questionnaire of Well-being and hope between May and July 2014. The results of the data analysis show that children with higher level of hope (in the sense of hopeful thinking, according to R. Snyder) are more satisfied with their lives, they are physically active and they are also more satisfied with their physical appearance and the quality of family background. The results support the importance of enhancing hopeful approach in children and can become an important stimulus for introducing positive education programs in schools.
