| Description | In the present contribution the author deals with the new situation which has been gradually coming into existence since the 1990s in the Czech-Slovak language-cultural relations on the basis of his own investigation and the Czech-Slovak experience, especially in the university environment. He pays a special attention to the modified situation after the publication of the well-known monograph by Mira Nábělková asserting that many things have changed because the Czech and Slovak environments react in a different way, and some new problems and pitfalls in the language, culture and – last but not least – in the social communication in general – arose. It seems to be inevitable for cultural linguistics together with literary scholarship oriented more on general philology and on culture research to systematically study these problems without their tabooing and idealization, quite openly and freely with the intention to give the adequate answers and proposals to responsible authorities. |
