Description The results of a study investigating possible links between the incidence of self-harm and selected personal characteristics, taking into account gender differences. Relationship between Personality Structure and rates of self-harm was on a balanced sample of 1026 adolescents (513 boys and 513 girls aged 13-15 years, 33.3% for each age group) checked by questionnaire methods Self-Harm Behavior Questionnaire (SHBQ, Gutierrez et al., 2001), Self-Harm Inventory (SHI, Sansone & Sansone, 2010) and B-JEPI (modified by Senka, 1994). Identified was a positive relationship between the level of occurrence of harm and the average score on the scale of neuroticism and psychoticism, while there were found significant gender differences.
