Citation
Description The arrival of digitalisation has changed the perception of traditional media, the context of their usage and the use itself. Digital comics as an artifact employs the specific language of the new media shaped by three groups of objective qualities: material technological qualities of hardware, non-material technological qualities of the code and textual qualities (in brief hardware, software, text). The aesthetics of new media stems from their language - aesthetics of incompleteness given by infinite space, story and time. Analysing technological aspects of the change of comics within the new media is an essential prerequisite in order to explore the subsequent changes in action (research of use) and context (interconnection with other media). With an allusion to the transformation of web pages and the application also called Web 2.0, digital comics can be perceived in this way as well and can be referred to as Comics 2.0.
