Description A wooden turned ball, which probably belonged to one of the favourite medieval pastimes pursued most often in municipal environs, comes from a cess-pit in the yard of the Old townhall in Brno. Material records of the “bowling game” are very rare; it is more often mentioned in written sources, eventually it appears in period graphic expression. The ball found in Brno can be dated to the first quarter of the 14th century according to the finds collection from the cess-pit.
