| Description | The study stems from the manuscript source of Olga Hrabalová which is a motive catalog of folk songs of the Institute of Ethnology of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. The goal is to collect particular motives, to selectively pick out song types and variants belonging to them. On the basis of this with the help of the ethnolinguistic method, the paper builds a linguistic image of death in the form of a folk song. The reflection of semantic expressions by examining folklore texts offers one of possible ways to approach the phenomenon of death within the given culture. |
