| Description | This paper deals with defining the concept of intercultural communication competence (ICC) in the context of foreign languages teaching. First, it provides the insight into the ICC problem area and explains the basic terms which are relevant to the topic, second, it presents selected research dealing with the explanation of the intercultural communication competence phenomenon. Research analyzing the development of this competence is presented as well. The text presents the competence as a competence of a complex character with the focus on multidimensional character of the concept. |
