Description | From 1920s to 1990s, the theme of Central Europe as possible political unity was aligned with programmes for economical as well as cultural and spiritual Central European union. The arguments that were used were mostly based on the need of security and restart or acceleration of economic growth. The study is focused on those phases that were most active, i.e. 1930s, war exile, exile in 1950s, specific discussions in 1980s, as well as key personalities, federation projects and economical union projects by Hodža, Ripka, Wszelaki and Raczyński. |
