| Description | Museum educators, curators, PR managers, guides, lecturers, cashiers and museum managers and other museum professions met during 9 and 10th February 2015 in Brno at colloquium of Committee for public relations and museum pedagogy of Council of museums and galleries in the Czech Republic. The Colloquium was organized by Centre of Museology nad UNESCO Chair for Museology and World Heritage by Department of Archaeology and Museology in cooperation with Brno City Museum. The first day of colloquium workshop Inovative approaches to guides and lecturers activities took place at Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University. More than forty museum workers aimed to defining of so called museum professions in the first line, that are regularly and systematicly connected with every-day contact with museum audiences, and for basic characteristics of key current problems of these professions. By the focus groups activities and common discussions workshop participants tried to look for relevant solutions of actual problems of professions and their own potential as an impulse for the first changes. The second day of colloquium took place in Brno City Museum. Chosen programs of museums were presented to colloquium participants. Programms reflected specifics of museums guides and lecturers work with audiences. Programms were prepared by Brno City Museum professionals in cooperation with students of Department of Archaeology and Museology of Faculty of Arts at Masaryk University. |
