Description This chapter deals with the special educator´s attention to their professions and to their clients in the context of their life experience and in the context of their motivation to work in helping professions. The chapter is based on main findings of qualitative research, which studied specific aspects of teacher’s personal experience and their relationship to the profession. The aim of the research was to find out how the special educator´s life experiences influence their understanding of the profession and to find out their opinions on their motivation for the choice of the profession.
