Description | This article describes how school leaders and teachers at basic school handle student diversity in the course of the educational process. The focus is on teaching and social relations among students. The article is based on data of a multiple case study of schools that do not explicitly advocate the concept of inclusive education The basic source of data was in-depth interviews with school leaders (headteacher, deputy headteachers or other school leaders), teachers of basic school (primary and lower secondary levels), educators and teacher assistants. Also, results of analyses of school documents and questionnaire surveys addressed to the whole teaching staff were taken into account. |
