Description The paper deals with the theme of integration of immigrant children into the Norwegian primary schools. It represents the first theoretical context of the topic, the Norwegian integration policy, and consequently the results of empirical research. It discusses the success and unsuccess of integration in one school in Oslo. Because the majority pupils have been leaving the school has gradually, the main research question is: Why are Norwegian pupils leaving school which is focused on acceptation of immigrant children? The case study was chosen as a method for empirical part and three techniques of data collection: interviews, document analysis and observation. Research has shown that teachers of the schools put too much emphasis on support for immigrant students, which led to a weakening of the position of Norwegian students who began to leave the school and start at the schools with lower percentages of immigrants. An important role also plays a specificity of communication with immigrant parents, the organization of education at the school and selected integration measures.
