Description The article presents the problem of real (stereoscopic) and pseudo 3D representation of geographic data and summarize and newly interpret the results of our research 3D. The results demonstrate that the different 3D visualization leads to different cognitive processing of information exposed in the image. When solving experimental problems, the realistic 3D view led participants to launch faster, but incorrect answers. Real and pseudo 3D views of the same geographic information thus appears as a computational unequal. We believe that real 3D display leads the operator to intuitive processing of the information presented in the exposed scene and pseudo 3D representation leads to a deeper analysis of the context of the situation. These findings imply overlap with the developer experience, where the use of 3D display an increasing trend.
