| Description | There are only a few original publicistic genres in the Czech or Czechoslovak history: possibly the prime example is genre "sloupek" (famously used by Karel Čapek and Karel Poláček). Although there is another genre which was born in the First Republic as well, once as favourited as sloupek, but now almost forgotten: genre named "rozhlásek". Therefore this study aims to characterize the genre and also to delineate its persuasive functions as in the "Lidové noviny" journal. |
