| Description | Death, illness and pain are relative categories, determined by the native culture. The author contemplates meaning of illness, healing and death for traditional as well as contemporary Roma people, living in the Czech and Slovak Republic. Analysis is buid upon primary data, collected during ethnographic work among the Roma by the author herself. The article is framed by the perspective of medical anthropology. |
