Description This study focuses on naming of women in second half of 17th century. The richest material of anthroponoms are document from official activity, but we can not find there women very often. Public activities were in hands of men from medieval times, they held properties and could handle them. For this reason men were named in official documents more often. Parish registers are better source of women's names. Parish register of Horní Branná became basis for this study. Women's names were classified to six groups. Study pays attention to changes of women’s names during their life.
